The Emirates Business Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) offers a premium experience for eligible travelers. Unlike some airlines that utilize third-party lounges, Emirates operates its own facility here, ensuring a consistent and elevated standard.
Location and Access:
Conveniently located in Terminal 1, after passport control, the lounge is easily accessible. Simply follow the signs for B and C gates, continue straight to the end, then take the escalators up. Turn left, and you'll find the Emirates Lounge.

Access is granted to:
- Emirates or Qantas Business and First Class passengers
- Emirates Skywards Gold members or above (plus one guest)
- Qantas Gold members or above (plus one guest)
- All eligible passengers must be departing on an Emirates, Qantas, or Jetstar flight.
Opening Hours:
The lounge's operating hours are tailored to Emirates' flight schedule, ensuring it's open to service their primary passenger base:
- 07:35 – 10:35
- 12:35 – 15:35
- 17:00 – 01:40
Ambiance and Seating:
Upon entering, you're greeted by a remarkably spacious and elegant environment. The lounge features abundant cream-coloured sofa settings, providing ample comfortable seating options throughout multiple sections. Near the entrance, you'll find a self-serve bar, perfect for a quick drink. A TV is situated in a corner for those wishing to catch up on news or entertainment.
Further into the lounge, more sofa arrangements invite relaxation, many offering coveted tarmac views. This direct view of aircraft activity is a definite highlight, as it's not a common feature in many other lounges at Changi. For productivity, a dedicated workstation with ergonomic chairs is available. The sheer number of seating choices is clearly designed to accommodate the volume of passengers departing on Emirates' multiple daily A380 flights.
A standout decorative element that adds to the lounge's sophisticated atmosphere is a beautiful water feature, bringing a sense of tranquility and life to the space. Additionally, a wall adorned with Rolex clocks showcasing different time zones serves as both a practical and stylish touch.

Dining Experience:
The dining experience at the Emirates Business Lounge is comprehensive and impressive, featuring a generous buffet spread. Hot food options are diverse, catering to various palates with Western, Middle Eastern, and Asian cuisines. During my visit, offerings ranged from braised beef and potato gratin to curries and noodles.
The cold food section is equally enticing, laden with an array of fresh salads, delectable desserts, fresh fruits, assorted cheeses, and cold cuts.
For beverages, the selection is extensive. A wide range of spirits and wines are available, alongside various soft drinks. A notable highlight is the presence of Moët & Chandon Champagne, which seems to be becoming less common in business class lounges these days. I thoroughly enjoyed a glass of champagne paired with a date.

Overall Impression:
This lounge is truly spacious, comfortable, and exudes elegance. Although my visit was unfortunately cut short due to the lounge closing, I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent there. The tarmac views are a significant bonus, creating an engaging environment for aviation enthusiasts and a pleasant backdrop for relaxation. While it has the potential to get crowded during peak departure times for the A380s, my visit during a quieter period found it to be a serene oasis – an excellent place to unwind and enjoy a meal before a long-haul flight.
