Having recently passed through Singapore Changi Airport's Terminal 1, I had the opportunity to experience the British Airways Business Lounge. If you're looking for a comfortable and quiet space before your flight, especially if you're a oneworld elite or flying Business/First with BA or a oneworld partner, this is the one for you.

Location and Access

Finding the British Airways Lounge is quite straightforward. After clearing immigration in Terminal 1, make a left turn and simply follow the signs for the B and C gates. You'll soon spot an escalator conveniently located near popular spots like Bangawan Solo, Bacha Coffee, and TWG Tea. Take this escalator up to Level 3, and you'll arrive at the lounge entrance.

Access to the British Airways Business Lounge is available to:
  • British Airways Business and First Class passengers
  • oneworld Sapphire or Emerald members (+1 guest) flying on a oneworld flight

Ambiance

Stepping into the British Airways Business Lounge, one of the first things you'll notice is its generally quiet atmosphere. For those who appreciate a more subdued environment away from the hustle and bustle, this lounge offers a good alternative to the often busier Qantas Business Lounge in Singapore. It provides a peaceful retreat perfect for unwinding or catching up on work.

Seating

The lounge boasts multiple seating areas, ensuring there's a spot for everyone, regardless of their mood or what they plan to do. Whether you're looking for a cozy corner to relax, a more formal setting to work, or a dining area, you'll find it here.

Dining

The dining experience at the British Airways Business Lounge is centered around a buffet with an extensive selection of hot options. During my visit, I sampled the spring rolls and chicken satay, both of which were delicious and served warm – a definite highlight! There are also other tempting dishes like braised beef and creamy mashed potatoes for those who seek for something more substantial.

Beyond the hot dishes, there's also a good variety of salads, fresh fruits, and delectable desserts available.

When it comes to drinks, the lounge truly shines. There's a dedicated Aperol Spritz counter with chilled Prosecco, perfect for a pre-flight tipple. The self-serve bar also features a long shelf stocked with various spirits and a selection of chilled juices.

For those who appreciate fine bubbles, there was a bottle of chilled Chevalier Blanc de Blancs available, which was a pleasant surprise. Coffee and tea machines are also readily available for your caffeine fix or a comforting warm beverage.

Other Amenities

Beyond the food and drink, the lounge offers practical amenities such as easily accessible charging ports for your devices and complimentary Wi-Fi to stay connected.

Verdict

Overall, I am quite fond of the British Airways Business Lounge in Singapore. Come here specifically for the delightful chicken satay and the unexpected bonus of French wines like the Chevalier Blanc de Blancs. It's also an excellent choice for anyone who values a quiet atmosphere and comfortable seating before their flight.
